Social Networking - or spreading adult sex to all corners of the globe

Women in particular have benefited from the sexual freedom which the worldwide web brings in its wake. Ironically it is the sense of privacy and anonymity that the medium conveys, which makes it possible for people to be more open, more expressive. From the 'okay as long as you don't get caught' syndrome individuals are moving more and more towards a position of acceptance: I don't have to be ashamed of who I am but I'm not obliged to broadcast it to the world either - even when the possibility to do so exists.

This seems to be borne out to by a recent study that came to our attention while browsing PornTwitter - the self-described "best source for all things porn related. Daily dose of hardcore Porn, pornography videos, sex industry news, porno pics and Pornstars."

A French study has found that more women are watching porn. The reason? They want to spice up their sex lives according to the study. They are also questioning the stereotypes of women portrayed in the traditionally male-dominated arena, forcing producers of adult material to re-think their assumptions of who their customers are and what they want.

In other news, we hear that Russian duo t.A.T.u. have re-united recently for a tenth anniversary celebration and performed on stage in Romania. Of course, as you will see from this video, they've grown up considerably since they first sprung on the world as those prococious teenagers with the ability to set young hearts aflame and older hearts into cardiac arrest. Also, one of them you will notice has let her hair grow long.

There is talk of them touring again - Ticketmaster here we come.

There's also a story of synchronised swimmers smooching in the pool which for some reason wasn't mentioned in any of the Olympic highlights programmes that we watched. TV producers getting their priorities wrong as usual.

All this and much more awaits you on http://twitter.com/porn
